DAY 38: THE BUFFET

April 17, 2022 ~ Saturday

Refeeding Update: Day 5 of 14.

Phase 2: Raw – fruits (no citrus), juicy vegetables, lettuce, greens, cucumber, tomato, celery, jicama, sprouts, etc.

Daily refeeding numbers: Weight-179.6 Weight loss since adopting diet-55.41 BP-108/74 Heart rate-72 Oxygen level-97.8 Temperature-97.8 Glucose-100 Sleep-3.75 One minute pulse rate-steady 73. Muscle pain level-0 (scale 1-10) Energy level-8 (scale 1-10).

My Comments: It is Saturday and things are quiet around the center. I went for a walk with new friends and we looked at the lawns and landscaping of the surrounding houses. Including those lawns that had fake grass! We have a couple of other walks planned. Down McDonald street of beautiful old homes with gorgeous landscaping and on another day over to Savory Spice for a quick peek at the store. I was feeling “bored” but I think depressed would have been a better word. Once I said oh that is a down feeling I decided to fix that tomorrow. It will be Easter Sunday and I am not home. But soon …

Now about that buffet table: Retta-1 Buffet table-0! I controlled the food. I had two large salads of the prescribed raw vegetables. Two bowls of the berries prescribed by the doctor. I am tired of eating blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. They are for the most part, sweet. I am also to eat stewed prunes for constipation while my gut is repopulating the microbiome. Now, these are sweetest prunes I have ever tasted. I think my new adapted palate sees them as so sweet that it is hard to eat too much of it at once.
