DAY 26: DR. GOLDHAMER

April 4, 2022 ~ Monday

Fasting Update: Day 21 of 28. Broth day 6. I had another blood draw today to see where my potassium is. I have 7 days left and they see no reason why I should not make this. I am feeling better, heart is strong, and today I got out and visited with other patients!

Daily fasting numbers: Weight-188.2 Weight lost during fast-17.8 Weight loss since adopting diet-46.5 BP-120/80 Heart rate80- Oxygen level-x Temperature-x Glucose-81 Sleep-4.5 One minute pulse rate-steady. Muscle pain level-0 (scale 1-10) Energy level-7 (scale 1-10).

My Comments: Today was a good day. I visited with my suite mates and a woman from NY. We talked about gardening. 🙂 Not much else to report. I am on the home stretch. My body is about ready to stop fasting. Then the fun begins!

Lecture: Today, was talk by Dr. Goldhamer. Even though I have heard him speak many times on YouTube, I sill learn something new. For example, the full recovery time of a fast is the length of the fast. So for me a fast of 28 days, there will be a 28 days recovery time. I will spend the 14 days of that time here at the center. And the rest at home. Dr. Goldhamer said that gardening should not be a problem as it is not like running a marathon. I should spend the time in the garden with work/rest periods. This is something I have done for years. Work an hour rest for 20 minutes. It is slow but gets the job done. I have paired back my gardening plans for this year as I will not be starting as many plants. Well, like almost no seedlings. There are a couple I might start right when I get home.

You can watch his talk below. You may or may not agree with him and that is ok. It starts about 10 minutes into the video and his talk is about 35-45 minutes long. Then there are a lot of questions.
