DAY 47: FIST BUMP

April 25, 2022 ~ Monday

Refeeding Update: Day 14 of 14.

Daily refeeding numbers: Weight-178 Weight loss since adopting diet-57 BP-110/77 Heart rate-76 Oxygen level-98 Temperature-97.8 Glucose-93 Sleep-4.3 One minute pulse rate-steady 73. Muscle pain level-0 (scale 1-10) Energy level-5 (scale 1-10).

Phase 5: Unrestricted – eat anything in the buffet. See video below of what the buffet looks like.

My Comments: I feel really good! It is amazing. I do not have muscle pain. I can walk and walk. I may not sleep a full 6 hours but that sleep is deep. See screen shot below from my Fitbit tracker.

Lecture: Today, was my final lecture by Dr. Goldhamer. It was the same presentation that I saw him give at the Center when I first arrived. It is about how you set goals and accomplish them. He has 10 steps to follow. Those steps are:

  1. Determine the Goals
  2. Identify the cause(s)
  3. Objectify the Problem
  4. Determine a Rational Approach
  5. Set Priorities
  6. Establish Timelines
  7. Give up Magic Thinking
  8. Initiate an Action Plan
  9. Assess Progress
  10. Maintain Success

I use these steps all the time in my life. I just have never listed them out. I do not think about them as a list but goals can only become real if you know what they are and how to measure them. I can now apply this to my health so that I can live a healthy life! What a fitting way to end my stay at the TrueNorth Health Center.

I told Dr. Goldhamer I have no intention of stopping now. I have tasted what good health feels like. A feeling I had forgotten. For that, I got a fist bump from the man himself!
